Day 8. 2009–Today: Windows 7

Windows 7, was released in October, 2009. I remember waiting for Windows 7 coming out, one big thing that makes Windows 7 worth waiting for is it's performance. With Windows 7, it could make a computer that is nearly unrunable under Windows Vista into a working machine.  When I bought my computer, it was build for Vista. However, after I install Windows 7 on my computer not only it has no problem running it, in fact, it runs faster. Windows 7 is design to be faster, light weight,  more effusion, and it takes shorter time to boot your computer. With Windows Vista or older operating system it takes quiet a few hours to install, but with Windows the installation only takes about an hour or less. Those are some of the reason what makes Windows 7 the fastest selling operating system in the history, by fall 2010 in average Windows 7 is selling seven copies per second. And other interesting fact is that before Windows 7 was released it was tested by eight million beta testers.
I have been using Windows 7 a little over a year now, and the part that I like about it the most is that, it rarely crashes! I do not remember the last time when my computer crashes after I installed Windows 7. Another thing that I like about it is the task bar, before Windows 7 if you open a file, they will be place at the task bar, but not in order. If you want to find your file you have to open everything an check, but with Windows 7, all your files are sorted and make it very easy to find your file. However, here is one disadvantage from Windows 7, Windows 7 is very expensive, the home edition's rental price is $199.99, pro edition is $299.99, and the ultimate is $319.99.
