Day 1. 1980: The MS-DOS

MS-DOS (Microsoft Disk Operating System) were invented 30 years ago, when the tech knowledge wasn't that advance, computers does not offer a graphical interface. Which means that computers were use to being just plane
words, no videos, no nothing.  MS-DOS is a single-task operating system; in able to use MS-DOS, one needs to learn how to write command lines. Not like most the operating now days which  allow users to multitask, allow users to execute a program without knowing any commands.
MS-DOS was  written by a programmer name Tim Paterson. First, it was called QDOS( Quick and Dirty Operating System), because he wrote it by himself less than two month. Then Microsoft bought it with $50000.  And MS-DOS retail price was only $39.95 when it was first released.

Here are some advantages from using MS-DOS

1. It can run on almost any computer out there, because it is so small it doesn't not require a high performance computer.
2.It gives the user more direct control over the computer.
3.Install every fast.

However, there are also disadvantages:
1. Not many programs are out there for MS-DOS. Sometime you might have to write the program yourself.
2. Look not as fancy as the modern computer.
3. It gets complicated if you want to go on the internet with MS-DOS. It does not come with the internet browser.

Here is a taste of MS-DOS.
